Exercise for knee, hip bursitis and OA – The Clam

The Clam is an exercise for hip bursitis, knee injuries, hip OA or any lower limb problem or injury. The reason this exercise is so good, is because it targets your gluteus minimus muscle, which is very often weak. Gluteus minimus is a very important stabilising muscle in your pelvic area. Not only does it improve your walking pattern, it also prevents your knee knocking inwards when you land from a jump. As such it is an equally important muscle to strengthen for older people suffering from hip bursitis to younger sports people recovering from an ACL injury!
